Flood me Like a River, Sir – by J.P. MCQUILLAN

Flood me like a river, sir
Take it all away.

Flood me like a river, sir.

To another night

To some other day -

You know I only have eyes for you

Mural so warm

Fill me up -

Take it all away

The pursuit of life.

The search for God.

Darker though; the quest for nod -

Take it all away.

Flood me like a river, sir.

To another night

To some other day -

And with your warm blanket

You take me all away.
